It has been a bit quiet here due to our ongoing stream of holidays. Nevertheless i did keep tab with the NYFW looks and whoever follows me on IG got to see some of my most favorites. Here i have a big roundup for you guys and i must say there were many good looks and inspiration that i am looking forward too seeing next spring.
# Michael Kors
Michael Kors had this very laid back cool girl feeling. The collection felt like a well curated array of wearable pieces; pieces that could mix and match and accompany real life for the active city girl. I personally loved the crisp white blouse with the romantic full flower implicated midi skirt.
# Carolina Herrera
It was the season of the rose for Carolina and her palette of blush, lilac, lavender and white made her entire look very feminine yet very sophisticated. I love the cut outs used on some of her looks which brought some playfulness to it. The use of organza and chiffon made her looks seem so effortless. In the end, it was Carolina herself who summed it up best; ‘In fashion it is important to keep a little mystery. I design clothes that are seductive and sensual, but I always leave something for the imagination. Fashion, after all, is about fantasy.”
A sophisticated roundup of approachable and deeply lush colored pieces. Perfect for working ladies, you where able to spot lots of wearable skirts paired with easy pullovers. My biggest crush was the deep cognac leather coat. What a statement piece!
# Rachel Zoe
The queen of Hippie brought a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy her Spring 2016 collection. Embroidered, beaded, frayed and embellished it was hard to find a surface that wasn’t accented in some way yet it did come across as super fun and comfortable. My favorite is the white green stripes and fringe maxi dress.
#Oscar de la Renta
Oscar’s classic and elegant design aesthetic remained for the most part with occasional touches added throughout. Of course lots of lace was seen and his pieces varied from ultra glam to everyday outfits. I loved the gowns that had finishing touches of lace. there’s never enough lace for an Oscar de la Renta gown:)
As for you, which designer spoke most to you? which looks were your favorites? Let me hear your take on NYFW.
